Vintage Kantha Jacket:

Wrap yourself in soft colorful and unique prints with our vintage Kantha jacket, a unique piece that tells a story with every stitch.

Exquisite Kantha Stitching: Each jacket is adorned with intricate Kantha stitching, a technique where layers of vintage saris are hand-stitched together with colorful threads, creating a mesmerizing tapestry of patterns and motifs. The kantha plaids are stitched by hand by women from Radjasthan and turned into a lovely jacket.

One-of-a-Kind: No two jackets are alike, making each piece a truly individual expression of artistry. The vibrant colors and varied patterns of the jackets are suitable for every season!

Versatile Style: Whether layered over a simple top or paired with jeans, this jacket adds a bohemian flair to any outfit. Dress it up for a night out or wear it casually for a touch of artisanal charm.

Kantha Fabric:

The fabric of our vintage Kantha jacket is more than just cloth; it's a canvas of stories. Kantha is a form of embroidery that originated in Bengal, India, where women would use old saris and other garments to create new textiles. The word "Kantha" itself means "rags" in Sanskrit, highlighting the sustainable and eco-friendly nature of this art form.

Why Choose Kantha?

Sustainable Fashion: By repurposing vintage textiles, each Kantha jacket contributes to sustainable fashion practices, reducing waste and honoring the history of the fabric.

Cultural Heritage: Kantha embroidery is a centuries-old tradition passed down through generations of skilled artisans. By owning a Kantha jacket, you become a custodian of this rich cultural heritage.

Care Instructions:

To preserve the beauty of your vintage Kantha jacket, we recommend dry cleaning or hand washing in cold water with mild detergent. Lay flat to dry to maintain its shape and colors for years to come.

Fitting & Measurements:

The fitting is slightly oversized and is suitable for a size 36 to 44. I do however need to indicate that the jackets length is at the hips and not over the hips. Feel free to ask questions or measure for yourself!
